Mark Carroll BA (Adel) APM
Mark Carroll is President and CEO of the Police Association of South Australia, a position he has held for 12 years. He has represented SAPOL members in the industrial arena since 1991.
In his time as President, Mark has presided over the emergence of PASA as the most respected and powerful professional association in South Australia.
Mark comes from a strong police family. He graduated from the Fort Largs Police Academy in 1986 and went on to serve South Australians as a frontline police officer in Adelaide and in the Yalata Aboriginal Community on the West Coast of South Australia.
His policing experience also includes the Hindley St precinct, the Adelaide Crime Enquiry Unit, the Vice and Gaming Task Force and Adelaide CIB.
Since 2014, Mark has also been President of the Police Federation of Australia.
A graduate of the University of Adelaide, Mark is highly regarded in South Australia and nationally as a skilled negotiator and an accomplished strategic thinker and tactician.
He is also an accomplished media performer.
In recent years, Mark has become a powerful and influential advocate for police officers and their families in the mental health space. His commitment to mental health awareness, education and the eradication of stigma is highly regarded across Australia.
